Here's some piccies from the market!  Hopeless sales though, I sold 5 the whole day!!!!  So that idea is on the back burner... I'm thinking of setting up an Etsy or Madeit.com shop instead.  I've found that I can post most of my flowers for $1.20 so that won't blow out the cost.

 The white and pink flowers below with 5 crystals in the centre are from overseas and I just sew them onto elastic.... yep, I cheat sometimes!  Only coz they're so pretty, and they're well-made too...

These frilly flowers below were a custom order for a friend... one is on the brown ribbon headband (with elastic) and one is on a clip... I love custom orders - they make me branch out and try something new!

If that's still a word, I kind of feel it.... it's like I'm an absolute doofus for not updating in a whole month! Sorry!  I have had a really uncrafty month, and managed to get some 'important life stuff' done instead.  Which is good.  Sooo, you want to see a piccie of the tax returns I did?  :P   Anyway, I'll be back....

I just love it!  Trying to get my mojo to go more in that direction....  I doesn't matter what colour chiffon I buy.  I'm dying everything with coffee. :)  What other 'job' requires coffee and candles?  Life's tough hey!

As soon as I figure out what size to make these I'll join the ribbon ends with some elastic to make a vintage headband.  There's 5 sizes.  Newborn, 3-6mths, 6-12mths, 1-5yrs and tween-adult.  Maybe I should do some of each...

I'll tell you anyway.  Computer crashed.  Virus.  Fixed!!  Died again.  Fixed again!  3000 word grant application for a local committee done by 5pm yesterday.  Income tax return 2010 not done by 5pm yesterday.  Please visit me in jail.  ;)

Other than that, Miss 7 wanted to make a present for her friend after a fight.  So we made a mini game of checkers, out of cardboard and felt (above).  This fits the challenge at Creative Card Crew.

Annddd.... how cool is it to have a neighbour in her 70's who's got a massive room full of old materials and ribbons and laces... :)  loving vintage atm!  And leopard print!  Not together but.

A fun girly crafty day...

...produced some new flower styles!  I see potential.... :) :) :)  If only there wasn't a worldwide shortage of chiffon!  If you see any non-shiny chiffon that would make some nice flowers, please let me know where it is!

Tootles!  Off to get some more jobs out the way so I can make some more :)  Just a pity some of those jobs are going to take all week :(  But if it's all done by Friday, I'll be cheering!

Where did summer go? :(

16 zillion rainy days and about 3 hot sunny days.... we didn't even GET to the beach this Summer!!!!  Crazy!  Hoping for a sunny Autumn....  Anyway, here's my first skinny black headband.... :)

errr, I guess you can tell that I'm so blinking INDECISIVE.  Photo styles, font styles, not to mention the hairband styles themselves!   I like everything!  Doh.

At the bottom of my garden...

...this was a fun but hard page to do... one of the very few paper scrapbook pages I've ever done!

I did it for a friends scrapbook... she was one of the nurses who looked after this very sick lil girl. 

I followed a fairy theme because she wasn't with it sometimes.... couldn't see me right in front of her eyes and was saying weird stuff.... ugh, still freaks me out.  Thankfully kids recover so quickly and completely.

is a silver / grey / black one :)  Goes with everything!

With pretty Czech Crystals in the middle (made in Europe. go figure).  I've also bought ostrich feathers from Hong Kong (you can't exactly get fake ostrich feathers) and elastics, lace and Swarovski Crystals from USA so far...

And vintage laces and elastics from little local fabric boutiques... "oh we've had that ever since we bought the shop 8 years ago"... luv it! :P

are blooming all the time here!  I've figured that I shouldn't be making bulk amounts of my flower designs yet, because it only takes a random 10 minutes to really improve on it and be excited all over again!  But those '10 minutes' are totally unpredictable...

I was asked yesterday how old I was.  For the first time ever, I kind of feel too old to be asked like that.  "ah... 30."  I said. 
"haha, nooo.  how old are you really?" 
"No, I am.  Really!"
"no, come on....."
"Serious!  I'm 30.  Both my kids go to SCHOOL!"
"oh.....okay....  I've got a 17-y-o daughter and thought, you know, you look about the same kind of age...."

LOL!  Unbelievable!  Sure I've got some pimples, but you know, I've got some wrinkles too!  And come on!  My dimples join under my chin!!!!

Flower Designs

Here's a few!  This is so much fun - mucking around with crystal organza and satin, burning it "just so" with a candle and piecing it together to see what it looks like....   I've also been mucking around with the photography side of them, because I might end up selling them on Etsy, I'm not sure.

Would love some ~F~E~E~D~B~A~C~K~ especially suggestions for improvement!!! ???? This is unchartered territory for me.  Thanks!

Hi!  Remember me?!  After 2 weeks flooded in at Emerald (see previous post) by massive amounts of water, we heard about a backroad opening up (never mind the road closed signs still right across the road) and scooted home!  I'm working on satin flowers and new designs but in the meantime, here's some old digi lo's to have a gander at.  Tootaloo!
